I woke up at 6:15am this morning and I straight away heard God speaking several things to me…
He was speaking to me about how to rise above the circumstances.
We cant get away from everything that is happening around us… We have to know how to get by when we are in the middle of difficult and challenging circumstances. I got a picture of an eagle gliding on the thermal currents. I know I have heard of this before but I wasn’t quite sure what it meant. I looked it up tonight and the explanation was fantastic.
It said that the temperature over different parts of land is different – some hotter than others. For example in a desert as opposed to over an ocean. And there are pockets of cooler air and when the hot air touches the cool air it forces itself to rise above the cold air… hot air rises…
This action of rising is the thermal itself, the current of hot air going up over the cooler air.
When the eagle takes off its strong wings do the work but when the eagle catches that thermal and it can use the rising hot air to really climb, with much less effort, it just glides up. By circling over the middle of a rising thermal a bald eagle can just spread its wings allowing the warm air to just lift it up. There is so much we can learn from the eagle but this is just the one thing He showed me this morning.
Isaiah 40 says we can mount up with wings as eagles…. that is His strength… and I get the picture that the hot air is the trouble, strife, difficulty and trials and that when we mount up with and on His wings we can rise above. He will carry us through. We must use these thermals, the hot air to help us rise higher above.
But those who wait on the Lord
Shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.
