Bridging the gap….

There was a particular person on my mind when I woke up this morning, their need that was on my mind. I had been trying to understand how this person could come to realise the answer, and know what is right and wrong and make the best choice. He then assured me and showed me that he is the bridge. He is the bridge of the gap between this person and the answers to prayer for them, He is the bridge between this person and what they don’t understand. At times I wonder… “How Lord, but how?” His answer to me in my thoughts was that He is the bridge over the gaps. There are so many gaps…. He can bridge them all, The Son of Man is that bridge for all of us. John 1:51 Then…

Why? When and Wisdom!

Why? When and Wisdom! Sometimes it seems, there is just no understanding a situation, how a person might react or handle it, or how they treat you or others. I have encountered  a lot of these situations but in the end whether I understand it or not my responsibility only is to do the right thing as I see necessary… Each time I encounter one of these situations the answer will be different and what I need to do will vary. I want to handle things respectfully for my sake, and other people’s. I don’t want play into games and be a part of webs that people spin and set up, for whatever reason that may be. I want to walk away and still have my head held high and know that I have honoured God and myself with the way I handle it… What am I supposed to do…

He watches over His words…

Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.” (Jeremiah 1:12 NASB) The words of God are not careless, thoughtless, half hearted words…  Gods words completely unlike our words, which are often thought-less, care-less, half-hearted, and more often than we’d like to imagine horrible, vindictive, and unloving and the list could go on and on; His words are thoughtful, careful, full of heart, truthful, kind, purposeful, genuine and true all the time!  When I read that sentence… ‘He is watching over his word to perform it’ it suddenly clicked in a new way just how much he cares for us. He even nurtures his words to us, over us and for us.  I imagine him nursing his words into fruition and that speaks to me deeply of how much he also does not take his words and promises lightly… …

How does it work?…

Something I was talking to God about today is how we pray about things in our lives and families. I said to him I really could have done without this writing material because of course my experiences give me writing material and I really would have rather done without this bit of experience what people are going through and what I have learnt from it. I have been praying about this particular situation for a long time, as a matter of fact a few years. When I would pray for all my friends and family every morning this particular need was always brought up. It was like praying in advance for something that hadn’t happened yet way before it would happen but that would happen one day. So it was a little bit baffling to me in line with thinking about Ephesians 3:20 He is able to do immeasurably more……
