How do you share the greatest gift you ever received, with people who don’t know its a gift? Have you ever thought about how to share the gift of salvation with the people in your life? Recently, after talking to a few people, and trying to share my faith with them I had a huge realization. These days, people don’t know what sin is. They don’t know they are sinners. We are all sinners, and we need to be saved and redeemed by the only one that can save us, but this is now a foreign concept to so many. Many people don’t believe in God anymore, and He is not the foundation of their lives, He has effectively been taken out of the picture. God’s laws set out the standard that much of our society has been built on, but as we remove God, we are removing His laws…

How He bridges that gap

“So repent [change your inner self — your old way of thinking, regret past sins]  and return [to God — seek His purpose for your life],  so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day];” ‭‭~Acts‬ ‭3:19‬~ So repent… The words of this verse are words of love. What a beautiful and impassioned plea. Is that the way you read it??? If not, perhaps you could read that again and hear the heart of love crying out to you? Repentance is call made by God to us, it is a plea and a directive of love. It is twofold, it involves sorrow AND change. Albert Barnes Commentary says:  1.
