Tomorrow…

Tomorrow… “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” ‭‭~Matthew 6:34‬~ There is no escaping the troubles that this world is currently experiencing. So many emotions are evoked.  If nothing else, we are being taught over and over again that life is ultimately out of our control. Why did we ever really think that we controlled our destiny? We have some control over the daily choices we make, but even after we have chosen, things can so easily be taken out of our hands.  I think a lot more about mortality these days. Getting slightly older really makes you think, parents and other relatives a generation on from us are also causing me to think along these lines, but actually, age isn’t the only factor. Faith in what or whom?

Faith in what? Many people lose their faith in religion. That’s not hard because religion is a bunch of a lot of man made rules governed by humans that are weak and frail and supposedly represent God, combine that with Gods laws which they have also twisted and complicated… when really they are so simple… “Love the Lord your God will all your heart soul mind and strength, and love your neighbour as you love yourself” ~Mat 22:37-40~ And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). [Deut. 6:5.] This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself. I tend towards peace

I tend towards peace…. I always tend towards peace. Tension aggression, shouting, swearing, loud voices, accusations, ranting, always immediately cause me to shut my gates.  Ok so I have told you all before, I grew up with a lot of that… Not the swearing though, but raised voices, accusations, arguments, verbal tirades, they could go on for hours and hours. You may not have been the one on centre stage taking the floor and being pulled to pieces but once it started everyone got a chance.   I shudder to think about those many many many times now, and actually I only remember them as a whole the details are very much a blur and I’m more than happy for them to stay that way. I wonder if I was the person I am now what would I have done back then but that would never have been possible.  …
