Guard your heart with all diligence for out of it flows the issues of life
~ Proverbs 4:23 ~

Proceed with caution is probably the best advice we can use in most circumstances that we face.

I don’t want to find myself stopping dead in my tracks and I don’t want to go back, I want to keep moving forward so the best thing I can do is proceed with caution.

We need to scope out the lay of the land, and keep in mind the wisdom that has been given to us as we step ahead.

The danger is to step out on the ‘outside’ but step back on the ‘inside’. Guarding your heart doesn’t mean closing your heart but this is often easier said than done.

I know from experience… To find the balance between loving, caring, sharing, and not is a very narrow space!

However it is in living that is where the real learning comes…

A saying comes to me… but for the grace of God go I… so very very true….

I know that I know that I know that it is only by His grace that I proceed at all. I may travel a few steps on my own but I wouldn’t travel far before I would stumble and falter.

His grace is what sees us through… it is the only way we can proceed with caution!

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them – yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”
~1 Corinthians 15:10~
