Incline: be favourably disposed towards or willing to do something. To bend the head or body forward. The first request… Incline your ear, bend the head or body forward. It’s a purposeful act to turn and face someone to listen.
Body language says a lot, some of it is obvious and some not so much. To be inclined is a matter of body soul and spirit. It matters none if we turn in agreement but our heart is not in it. Let us incline to him body soul and spirit.
The second request, to come to me.
He is our answer in all things. No point going to other men. They are limited just as we are.
The third request, ‘hear me’. Hear and your soul will live. Only He can give us the words of life. His words are not just wise but they have the power to save.
And I will make an everlasting covenant with you…
These requests bring us to God, body, soul, and spirit.
