Faith in what or whom?

Faith in what?
Many people lose their faith in religion. That’s not hard because religion is a bunch of a lot of man made rules governed by humans that are weak and frail and supposedly represent God, combine that with Gods laws which they have also twisted and complicated… when really they are so simple… “Love the Lord your God will all your heart soul mind and strength, and love your neighbour as you love yourself”
~Mat 22:37-40~
And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). [Deut. 6:5.] This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself. [Lev. 19:18.] These two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets.
I know I could have only made it through the things that I have in my life by faith in Jesus. There really isn’t anyone in this world we can trust, they will all let us down and that’s where religion has lost so many of us. They try to to make us trust religious figures that really are only human and flawed.
There are a lot of things I find hard to understand in life too. Sometimes it makes no sense. The only place I find sense is in Jesus. I believe the more the world removes God from our lives the more the world goes continually down hill although you may disagree that is my opinion.
I am so thankful that my mum wrestled with her faith and found hope in Jesus and the bible rather than following organized religion… It wasn’t a popular decision with our family back then. They didn’t like it at all, and although some weren’t even regular church attenders they wanted us to stay with the ‘families’ religious beliefs.
The thing is that regular church attendance has little to do with faith, faith comes by hearing the word of God, and our hope in Him and salvation comes through the Son that came and died for us, to pay the price for our sin, our humanity and our flaws, to make the way open for us to God the Father, to be able to receive His amazing love.
I’m blessed that because of mums courage that I found the core of my faith not in an organisation and so I didn’t get turned off by all the things that can turn people off, faith in Jesus and the bible is on a solid rock rather than shifting sands.
It’s an important time in the history of the world to be asking yourself what do I believe? How did we really get here? We are such complexly amazing beings yet also simple in design!
The world is headed on an interesting trajectory that is specifically prophesied in the bible… That really makes me sit up and look and listen as I see it played out in front of my eyes…. and the hope of the world is the God that came and sacrificed his Son for us.
It’s a shame how we as humans have complicated the free gift of His love and grace for us all. It’s all good food for thought and helps people to make choice. God has given us so very very many blessings and all he says to us is choose life that you may live. The most important life that we have to live is eternal life and he has offered it to us all!
I choose life for me and my family!
