What should be most important in this life for the Christian? God is paramount. Name above all names. We would all agree on that! After firstly setting that out… What should be the most important in this life for the Christian? Right now, today, what is the most important thing for us? My answer… sharing the gospel, praying fervently for our loved ones, studying the word, knowing God, serving Him, all of these will naturally lead us to desire to purify ourselves and to becoming more like him. Cause and effect. We are passionate about many different things in this life, and many, many of these things are important causes, in and of themselves there may be nothing wrong. Is your allegiance with Him? Good is bad. Right is wrong. Black is white (and you can’t even say that!). Everything is upside down and back to front. Anarchy, lies, and judging each other are rife, and these are not His ways. So many people, and many many Christians, are caught up in movements, and methods (methods that involved wreaking destruction and creating division in today’s society), methods that are far from godly, and on top of that, they just don’t see it. It’s time to reexamine things in our lives in light of what is more pleasing to God than to ourselves and check that our allegiance is with Him. We need to behave how He would want us to behave and think about how He would want us to think. We can’t afford to align with anything or anyone less, whether its a ‘movement’ or a man. Seek…

Thoughts on Evangelism and sharing the Gospel… Sadly there are many times when we use different excuses for not actually having to talk to people about Jesus. Yes, we can share our faith by being relational, and by being a good witness etc, I know because I used to say that. I wasn’t comfortable with ‘straight out’ sharing my faith because it took me out of my comfort zone. I’m still not the best at it, I sometimes struggle to express myself, but now I know that I need to get out of my comfort zone,  and I do my best to do that. I used to say it’s not my gift. I am more a ‘such and such’, that’s not my ministry, but now I know its everyone’s ministry and responsibility. I don’t say that with a ‘side order of guilt’ or a ‘helping of condemnation’. How do you share the greatest gift you ever received, with people who don’t know its a gift? Have you ever thought about how to share the gift of salvation with the people in your life? Recently, after talking to a few people, and trying to share my faith with them I had a huge realization. These days, people don’t know what sin is. They don’t know they are sinners. We are all sinners, and we need to be saved and redeemed by the only one that can save us, but this is now a foreign concept to so many. Many people don’t believe in God anymore, and He is not the foundation of their lives, He has effectively been taken out of the picture. God’s laws set out the standard that much of our society has been built on, but as we remove God, we are removing His laws…

Clean your robes and trim your lamps… “When l became a believer, I asked the Lord to always keep my eyes and ears open to anything false. Sometimes l missed it, but He has always shown me eventually. The deception in the “church” is horrifying, but that is a major sign that we are in the very last moments in church history. My prayer life consumes me all day, Jesus is cleaning me up. I’m washing my robes in His Blood, throwing the things overboard that are impure and worldly. Jesus is cleaning up His Bride in urgency. Everything in this world means nothing to me. Everything that can be shaken will be shaken “His voice shook the earth [at Mount Sinai] then, but now He has given a promise, saying, “YET ONCE MORE I WILL SHAKE NOT ONLY THE EARTH, BUT ALSO THE [starry] HEAVEN.” ‭‭~HEBREWS‬ ‭12:26-27‬~ Commentary: Now this [expression], “Yet once more,” indicates the removal and final transformation of all those things which can be shaken–that is, of that which has been created–so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.” I’m pretty certain there is a shaking going on. I feel it in my life and I see it the lives of others around me. It’s not pleasant but, in a lot of ways, it is good. The outcomes of this shaking mean more of Him and less of me.
