The Day….

I count it but loss, for the sake of the cross…

“But whatever former things were gains to me  [as I thought then],  these things  [once regarded as advancements in merit] I have come to consider as loss  [absolutely worthless] for the sake of Christ [and the purpose which He has given my life].” ‭‭~PHILIPPIANS‬ ‭3:7‬~ In the last 3 years out of the 33 or so years, I have been a conscious Christian I have only just started to grasp the meaning of this verse.  It was around 3 years ago that I awoke to the most important realization of my life.  The message of the gospel is life-saving and all people need saving. Will He really find faith on the earth…

Will He really find faith on the earth… “… Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”” ~Luke 18:8b~ The time is drawing nearer for His return, whether we know when it is, or not, whether it’s in 5 years or 15 years. This is a question that I have been asking myself today. Will He find faith on the earth when He comes? When I look around I see less of those who are passionate believers, and not just those that are passionate, but those that sense His return and are actively carrying out His mission, as a whole it doesn’t seem so. Perhaps I’m not mixing in the right circles? But if we could judge passion by the actions of people, we have an indication of the answer. Perhaps it might be better called the inaction of people? I want to be in that number!

  Are we on the cusp of His return? I think so, but regardless of what I think the signs of his return are practically fulfilled. No one knows the day nor the hour but we know the signs of His coming. We want to be in the number “when the saints go marching in” 🎶 He will come when that last ‘number’ is in. Will we be ready and waiting? How much do we long for our families and friends to be in that number? It’s time to pray, to turn with full hearts to our God, to submit ourselves to him, to seek him and I pray, be found carrying out his will through his plan for each of our lives. Is Jesus coming back soon? I think so! Maybe yes! maybe no? But we should live with this thought fresh in our minds as if he was.…

Just what I need…

                            I so needed the Word tonight. To hear the Lord speak to me in the Word. I opened it and was thinking where should I read Lord…. only to look at where it opened and discover His very word spoken to me.
