I am like a little pencil in God's hand. He does the writing. The pencil has nothing to do with it.
So happy to have you come by my site. Light for Life Inspirations is the culmination of many many hours of my learning, insights, writing and creativity.
The insight and inspiration that I receive from every lesson fills the posts you will read here. Everything we learn has value for our life and for the people in our families and communities. Nothing needs to be wasted if we learn our lessons and keep growing... then nothing is lost!
My motto is... I learn therefore I write... and that's just how it is.

“But whatever former things were gains to me [as I thought then], these things [once regarded as advancements in merit] I have come to consider as loss [absolutely worthless] for the sake of Christ [and the purpose which He has given my life].” ~PHILIPPIANS 3:7~ In the last 3 years out of the 33 or so years, I have been a conscious Christian I have only just started to grasp the meaning of this verse. It was around 3 years ago that I awoke to the most important realization of my life. The message of the gospel is life-saving and all people need saving. The mission truly became real to me. Since that time as the urgency of the gospel message took hold, everything in my life began to change, suddenly the things that used to count seemed so unimportant, so vain, so temporal, so plastic The words of Ecclesiastes…

Will He really find faith on the earth… “… Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will He really find faith on the earth?”” ~Luke 18:8b~ The time is drawing nearer for His return, whether we know when it is, or not, whether it’s in 5 years or 15 years. This is a question that I have been asking myself today. Will He find faith on the earth when He comes? When I look around I see less of those who are passionate believers, and not just those that are passionate, but those that sense His return and are actively carrying out His mission, as a whole it doesn’t seem so. Perhaps I’m not mixing in the right circles? But if we could judge passion by the actions of people, we have an indication of the answer. Perhaps it might be better called the inaction of people? I have been…
Awaiting renewal… “For the creation was subjected to frustration and futility, not willingly [because of some intentional fault on its part], but by the will of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will also be freed from its bondage to decay [and gain entrance] into the glorious freedom of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been moaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only this, but we too, who have the first fruits of the Spirit [a joyful indication of the blessings to come], even we groan inwardly, as we wait eagerly for [the sign of] our adoption as sons–the redemption and transformation of our body [at the resurrection].” ~Romans 8:20-23~ My body is in a state of decline. Funny realisation. One minute it’s that you seem to be in your prime, tip-top shape and the…
There is no distinction… “This righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ for all those [Jew or Gentile] who believe [and trust in Him and acknowledge Him as God’s Son]. There is no distinction,” ~Romans 3:22~ God does not play favourites. His gift is to one and to all. “For there is no distinction between Jew and Gentile; for the same Lord is Lord over all [of us], and [He is] abounding in riches (blessings) for all who call on Him [in faith and prayer].” ~Romans 10:12~ What God says he means. He’s not like the majority of us for whom this statement is not true. Most of us know that this is hard to hold true to most of the time, let alone all of the time, but he only makes one qualifier and that is that we need the righteousness of God which comes through faith…
“Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.” ~Isaiah 55:6~ He is waiting for our call. Yes he has a million other things to do, but one of them is waiting for us to call on him. The creator of the Universe set a plan in motion for us to be able to make our way back to Him. He knows what time there is left and I can imagine he’s waiting for each and every one to come. He wants none to perish but for all to find salvation for themselves. Our Father, Creator, Saviour has completely surrounded us with signs that are pointing to him. It’s isn’t hard to find him if you are seeking him. Just as he longs for us to seek him, he also seeks us! His footprints are all around us even though we may not see them yet.…
