A Course with Destiny

A Course with Destiny A little look at your Newsfeed says it all, the world is in a state of turmoil, decay and collapse.  It’s feels to me like a game of Jenga where you pull out one more block and then one more and anytime now the block tower will collapse. When I look at what’s happening I completely understand the way people are feeling. Voicing their disgust and disdain for all kinds of things. That’s what we should do right? I don’t think we’d be human if we didn’t. But then on the other hand there are the others almost oblivious to the tragedies happening around them. I understand this but find it unbelievable. I stand in the middle. I see and I speak. I love all people I’m not going to differentiate but what’s going on in the world is far more serious than the battle…

Truth Doesn’t Change…. Free For All

~Truth Doesn’t Change…. Free For All ~ Actually this is hard to write…. Scrolling through my Facebook newsfeed these days is pretty scary. Christianity, the church, and religion is under attack. Have you noticed? How could you not? A new message, a new Jesus, a new church is being preached by the world and causing a shift in everything around us and the people (who are the church) have a choice to stand or shift with what is popular now? Everything will be shaken but if we stand on the Rock, Jesus, we will not be shaken when it counts. The bible prophecies what will happen, what is in fact happening right now. Its hard to know what to do, what to say anymore. Can we hold back the tide? God has a plan and it will unfold. How it will actually unfold is not known to us until it…

Who will you turn to?

A friend of mine shared a poster on her Facebook wall… the words were along the lines of this:  “We don’t need to get people to church we need to get them to Jesus” A friend of hers commented on  this and said: “People who are afraid of hell turn to religion.  People who have been to hell turn to spirituality.” This comment really didn’t makes any sense to me and its certainly not true for me either.  This is the way  I see it….  A lot of churches are about religion. If we are religious it wont get us anywhere, we can’t possible keep all the rules, nor for even one day…. But Jesus, Jesus on the other hand is all about relationship.  Being scared of hell had nothing to do with it for me…. I had always believed in God… and I found His reality in relationship with Him…

My Lifetime AAA Rating

Don’t you just long to be told by someone that they are proud of you? Its something that we strongly desire as children without even knowing it and I don’t believe that desire ever truly goes away. I think that its just masked by the shell and the toughened exterior we develop or the coping mechanisms that we employ to ‘cover up’ the need altogether. I always knew I was loved but I don’t believe that I was ever encouraged or affirmed in my childhood. To some extent what we need the most are those occasional moments that we receive from someone that genuine conversation when they tell us how special we are, what we mean to them and how they feel about us, rather than just ‘good boy Johnny’. I have a sense that in my wider family that’s how it was, we knew we were loved but…

To be known by God….

But if one loves God truly…[with affectionate reverence, prompt obedience, and grateful recognition of His blessing], he is known by God [recognized as worthy of His intimacy and love, and he is owned by Him]. ~1 Corinthians 8:3~   If you love God, you are KNOWN by God. Of course He knows us all. He knows about us all but the knowing referred to here I think is one of relationship. A commentary I read says of ‘known of him’ means: “is known of him — is known with the knowledge of approval and is acknowledged by God as His (Psalm 1:6; Gal 4:9; 2 Tim 2:19). To love God is to know God; and he who thus knows God has been first known by God (compare 1 Cor 13:12; 1 Pet 1:2). I want to know Him and be KNOWN by Him him! ~Cam Richmond~ My sites: www.lightforlifeinspirations.com www.facebook.com/lightforlifepage…

Faith in what or whom?

Faith in what? Many people lose their faith in religion. That’s not hard because religion is a bunch of a lot of man made rules governed by humans that are weak and frail and supposedly represent God, combine that with Gods laws which they have also twisted and complicated… when really they are so simple… “Love the Lord your God will all your heart soul mind and strength, and love your neighbour as you love yourself” ~Mat 22:37-40~ And He replied to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind (intellect). [Deut. 6:5.] This is the great (most important, principal) and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as [you do] yourself. [Lev. 19:18.] These two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets. I know I…
